First we melt some butter in a pot (trying not to drip sweat into the pot..eww) - #cooking

Ok, Rufus, please add the corn syrup to the butter - #cooking

Now Rufus, add the brown sugar... no need to taste it, just add it so we can mix it all together!! - #cooking

Now we add the flour and mix really really well!! - #cooking

Add nuts. We're using walnuts here,(RUFUS! stop eating them!!) but almond slivers or pecans work well too! - #cooking

Drop tiny amounts of the dough onto a prepared cooking tray. These will spread out ALOT so make sure to leave lots of room - #cooking

And now we wait and watch while the cookies bake - #cooking (do not leave unattended, they burn quite easily)

Can you see how the cookies have spread out and become really flat? They are bubbling alot too!! - #cooking

Take them out when the edges start to brown. Cool on tray for a few minutes then lift off tray and cool on wire rack - #cooking

See how see-through and lacey the cookie looks? They are buttery and cripsy, great w/ icecream or coffee!! - #cooking
